Jacob Lunski

Jacob Lunski was born in Paris - France in 1956.

In 1977 he immigrated to Israel and went to study Art Graphics at the Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem . A year later after finishing his studies at Bezalel, he went back to Paris to study at the 'Ecole de peintre en décor – Centre G. Le Faure Pantin' where he studied general painting, painting decoration, wall painting and imitation of marble and wood.

After his studies in Paris he came back to Israel and married. For his first work in Israel Yaacov (Jacob) collaborated with the artist Kalman Shemy in Jerusalem.

In 1992 Jacob Lunski went to work for the "Israel Broadcasting Authority" as scenic decorator where he still works till today. In his work, he specialized, for one, in the creation of texture structures. The creation of texture structures, as well as the researches of new combinations of materials and colors are the fundamental of the creations of Lunski's Art work and leads him to limits of unknown boundaries.

  • 1999 - Solo exhibition at Jerusalem town hall gallery.
  • 2002 - Solo exhibition at Ofra gallery center.
  • 2005 - Exhibition at the gallery of Neve Dekalim.
